Home Sweet Home. Prepping for paint as we speak. I'll post after pics when it's done. The posts are being replaces and the gable will have cedar shake. The bushes and blocks have been removed. The yard will be killed off and reseeded in the spring. Just wait and see what we can do to this place.

A view of the back of the house. The fence is now gone. The house is being prepped for painting and Casey put in a gravel driveway on the left.

A shop will be in the far back and fencing will be erected along both property lines all the way back. The yard, I mean weed will be killed off before winter and reseeded in the spring. A new patio will be poured in the spring also.

This is the hallway to the back bedroom and a storage room that will become a bathroom to the right is a long room that is a toy room at this time but will become a game room eventually. There is also the furnace room and another storage area.

This room will have an eagress window, plumbing repiped and will be my office. It will be closed in with a door and have a built in desk and shelving.

This is the bottom of the stairs we plan to finish the basement later. This will have a sectional couch and flat screen tv eventually.

This is the upstairs bath. It will be worked on this winter. We plan to install a new tile shower with new valves and paint.

Down this hall is the kitchen on the left bathroom and Ty's room. On the right is Ali's room and our room. All of the bedrooms are pretty small. Eventually when Ty is ready to move to the room downstairs we will take out the wall between the back two bedrooms and make it a master bedroom & bathroom.

Much better than blue.

Taking the wall out opened up the kitchen a lot. For now we will get a new countertop and the paint helped a bunch.

Our New (to us) House

This comes off of the dining area. It has a laundry area, bathroom, a door to the back yard and garage and access to the basement.

The kitchen is ugly I know. The border has since come down and the walls are now beige. Much better for now. I changed out the handles and hinges to brushed nickle instead of brass. The sink is being replaced and my faucet installed. Next will come the dishwasher yeah! We plan to put an island with bar seating.

The wall to the right is gone opening up into the kitchen. The far blue wall is now beige in color (whew).

This is a view looking back from the wall with the fireplace. The wall to the left has since been ripped out to open up into the kitchen area. To the right is the front door and a coat closet. Down the middle is a hallway that goes to the kitchen, three bedrooms and a bathroom. Our plan is to redo the kitchen in about a year.

This is the front living room with a dining area to the far back. To the left is a big picture window to the front porch area.

Baseball season is now up and going. Ty's having a blast. He can't wait to hit balls at Uncle Cliff and Aunt Shana's house again. They have a pitching machine and batting cage set up in the back yard.

My little crazy haired rag-a-muffin. I swear I do it several times a day and it still ends up looking like she's been thru a tornado. Welcome to the Johnson Farm. We now have Bailey(black lab), Pete(leopard gecko), Hopper, Thumper and Dinner(bunnies), and Harley(golden retriever). Casey's mom decided it would be a great idea to get Ty bunnies for his birthday. Not just any bunnies, giant flemish rabbits that get to be 20-30 lbs. Then when Casey takes the cage back he comes back with a little rabbit named Dinner. Just last week we adopted a purebred 6mth old golden retriever from a gal Casey did some plumbing work for. She is older and her son bought her as a gift. She just can't keep up with her. She is going in for back surgery and would not be able to care for her. The kids love her.

I think we're pregnant! So the bunnies were all supposed to be females. Turns out Ty's is a male. Anybody want some giant bunnies? AHHH!

I picked up Ty from school the other day with no front teeth and the start of a pretty good black eye. He pulled his own tooth out in class and tripped at recess and hit the support post of the playground equipment. We just keep telling him that chicks dig scars.

Mom does this look familiar. Yes your traditions are living on.We had a St. Patricks Day scavenger hunt. Now that is all Ty wants to do. Casey thinks I'm a big dork, but I enjoy them as much as the kids do.Lonny the leprechaun left a pot of gold and jewels for each of the kids.

What a couple of sweet valentines I have.

Tyler lost his front tooth. (The one he chipped when he was 2) And the other is pretty close to coming out too. What a goof.

Ali loves to cook with me. She is my little helper. Usually she has on her apron too. If only she could keep quiet for a little while. She is such a jabbermouth.

Tyler turned 7 this month. Overnight he can do everything himself. He keeps reminding me that he is 7 now.

Tyler recieved two bunnies from Grandma and Grandpa Johnson. Ty gave one to Ali what a sweetheart. Hopper is Ty's and Thumper is Ali's. They are babies now but will grow to be 35 lbs. AHH! Giant bunnies. Casey and Ty have been constructing a cage for the bunnies. I will take a pic when it's done. When we are not up at our property riding motorcycles or snowmobiles we are at wrestling. Ty took first place on Saturday at our home meet. Soon he will be starting Little League also. Busy, busy.

Ali has a hard time not smothering Thumper. We have to watch her carefully. As soon as they are bigger they will roam the yard. I hope they don't eat all of my plants.

Ali's 3rd Birthday was a blast. We ended up moving it to Lorenzo's Pizza at the last minute. I'm sure glad we did. Too many people for my little house. And no cleanup yeah! What an outfit eh!

Utah 2010. We visited the dinosaur park which is always a hit.

Halloween 2010. Tyler was a magician and Ali was a fairy princess.

After the party Ali and Ty had to open every gift and try them out. They were up pretty late but had a blast. I should have snapped a few of Ty playing pet shoppe. They might have come in handy down the road.

Tyler lost his first tooth. Pulled it out himself. It took quite a while and he is very proud of his new gap. He lost the other one next to it shortly after and now has a big gap that he sticks things in all the time.

We took a trip to Wallowa lake for a family wedding. We all rode the go carts together many times and had a blast. Grandpa even got kicked out for bumping. Ali was yelling at me to go faster the whole time. No one wanted to ride with me 'cause I'm the slow one. It sure is beautiful there.

Ali came upstairs like this one morning. Waist thru the leg hole. I'm not sure how she got them all the way up.

Ty's 6th birthday was a blast. Good weather six years in a row now. Pretty good for March. Our little house feels pretty small with that many people.

We had relay races and lots of games. Everyone had a blast.

What a cutie. Ty did wrestling this spring and had a fun time. He's learned a lot and wants to do it again next year. Now that wrestling is over we head into t-ball season. It's only just begun. It'll be crazy once Ali joins in.

Ali won't wear regular clothes anymore. If I do manage to talk her into getting dressed she then has to layer her princess dresses on top.

The whole family got together over Christmas. It was really nice but crazy at the same time. Our family was sick over the holidays and my lower oven element went out while cooking ribs for everyone on Christmas Eve. What memories. Two weeks later and I'm still sick.

Miss Elena is all legs now and growing into a beautiful little girl.

I got to see Gavin for the first time. He is a cute little guy. I'm only sad we don't live closer. Miss you Kacie.

Tyler's school project before winter break was a family project. Glitter glue is the newest thing. He loves it.

Tyler got a .22 cal single shot for Christmas. Casey and Ty decked it out with a scope and sling also. They've gone shooting several times over the break. Too fun.

One of those rare moments that they aren't fighting.

Ali turns 2 on November 12th although we celebrated early yesterday. We sure had a house full. Thirteen kids, their parents and Grandma and Grandpa Johnson. It was so much fun though and the kids behaved well enough.

Ali was a little unsure of the smoke after she blew out one of her candles.

The baby doll set was a hit. Thanks Aunt Kim. She even slept with it. It was a playpen, stroller, and highchair set. She's been taking care of her "baby daughter" all day.

We got Ali a play kitchen and she got all the things to go with it as presents. I think Ty likes it just as much as Ali. He helped me put it together and is quite good at keeping secrets unless tortured by his dad.

This was Tyler's field trip to the pumpkin patch.

Casey surprised me by refurbishing my 308 Winchester and lining up his mom to babysit opening weekend. We didn't get anything that weekend other than sore muscles. The second weekend Casey watched the kids at the cabin while I hiked up and down several canyons. That evening Casey's buddy Ryan whose cabin we stayed at took me to sit on a clearing up the mountain and that is where I shot this bad boy. TA step up from my first buck (on the right). I shot it at 170 yards. My first one was 300 yards. I can finally say I'm a good shot. I never quite knew if it was just luck the first time. Pretty cool huh?

Aunt Kacie told me about a pumpkin she had seen that was wrapped in gauze to look like a mummy. I only had ace bandages and they kept slipping off. So Ty grabbed one and wanted me to wrap him up like a mummy. Of course Ali had to do it too. They were running around the house pretending to be scary mummies. It was hilarious. The finished products.

This was a while ago but we were just decorating cookies.

Ali seemed to eat more than she frosted.

Ali got into the markers. I had too try really hard to keep a straight face while scolding her. None on the face though.

What a handsome little devil. Ty is doing well in kindergarten and loves picking on his little sister. Today we are going to frost and sprinkle the Halloween sugar cookies Ali and I made this morning.

We're gonna make ourselves sick if we don't quit snitching. We lost a whole pan because I didn't hear the timer. Fire alarm and everything. What a space cadet I am.

We went up to the lake house for one last weekend before the winter hits. We had beautiful weather although the fishing was horrible. We brought our good friends Ryan and Kelli with us.

Ty raced at Dayton Days this weekend. He had a ton of supporters. Grandma and Grandpa, Ryan and Kelly, Jon and Kelly, Becca and Andy were there with Katie and us of course. He had a whole cheering section. In his first race he got the hole shot but wrecked and couldn't quite catch up. In the main he finished first by a long shot. He was so proud and so was Casey. I asked Casey if this was his first thought when he found out we were having a boy and he said yes. They went riding Sunday at the track also. Casey enjoys working on the track with the tractor so that the kids have fun and have new stuff to ride. It's pretty fun to watch.

Ali had her first ER visit Friday. 3 hours later she was liquid stitched up and ready to play. We think she fell on the edge of the slate steps out back. She is such a tough little cookie.

Casey took ty out grouse hunting. All day and one grouse later here he is proud as ever. He's a real hunter you know. He even ate it for dinner.

We entered the business in the Walla Walla Fair and Frontier Days Parade. We all had a fun time preparing for and being in the parade. Shana and her kids helped pass out candy and flyers along with our part-time employee Steve and his family. Ali rode in a wagon with a ton of candy and Ty was running back and forth from the wagon with handfulls of candy and the parade goers as fast as his little legs could go. The toilet we made had a working pump spewing water out the bowl to make it look plugged. It was so cute. The crown loved it.

This is Ty on his first day of school. He is loving it. He has several friends that live just a couple houses down. He is so happy to have buddies to play with. He was a little worn out by this weekend and came down with a little stuffy nose. I'm sure he'll get used to it. I can't believe he's getting so big. I'm definitely having a harder time than he is.

Ty caught a decent small mouth bass on the Pend Oreill River with no reel just a rod and fishing line (he forgot to throw his rod in the boat).

Little surfer dudes! Kim bought the kids a floaty that looked like a pirate ship it was a hit with the boys. They had oars, a sword, squirt cannon and steering wheel.

Ty is now riding without training wheels. It definitely runs in the Johnson Family. Ty's a natural. He has had a couple wrecks but always gets back on. He's even caught air several times. He loves riding with his cousins. We go out to the track several times a week. Ty can't wait to ride again.

They even got me out there. I don't go very fast but it's pretty fun.

Ali's hair has grown in the back but not much on top. She's got a little mullet. She will keep a french roll in or piggies but anything else she pulls out.

Spring 2009

Ty has started his first year at T-ball. He's slowly getting to know the rules. They all go after the ball no matter if it's hit to them or not. They then dogpile and fight to get it. Most of them know they need to throw it to first but it's way more important to be the one who gets the ball. It's hilarious to watch. Ty enjoys this a lot more than he did soccor. Motorcycle riding is still #1 though. He and Casey have been riding almost daily down the road at a track Casey made. Matt and Justin come and ride too. It's fun to watch.

Tyler is so proud to be a T-baller. He had to wear his uniform to school and to his friend's birthday.

Easter was fun. We had way to much food and a load of candy. Ali wouldn't let go of her easter basket. She thought it was pretty cool. Once she found her first candy though she was done with hunting. She was ready to eat.

Tyler's 5th birthday was a blast. We've been able to get outside all 5 times. Aunt Kim had the great idea of a silly string fight. Now we had done this before and Casey said never again because the silly string does not disolve easily. This time we were smarter and let the kids (little and big) go at it in the field next door.

Tyler wanted a waterfall cake and this is as close as I could get. He is still playing with the fish in the bathtub.

Tyler had been asking for a lizard for months prior to his birthday. We initially said no. He then moved to wanting a mouse then finally a fish. He would come up with these cute little ways to show us he could be responsible. This is one of them. It is a mouse with a water dripper and cheese. He came up with it all by himself. I thought it was pretty creative. Anyways we did get him a lizard. It is a leopard gecko named Pete the Spots (Petey for short).

Alison decided she wanted to try the dirt in the tree for the gazillionth time. It's still cute though. Did I just say that? NO ALISON!

Tyler is doing his ninja moves on the tramp. It never gets old. Great investment.

Just had to throw this one in. Ali had just woken from a nap.

We haven't had this much snow in a long time. We had to take advantage of it.

We all traveled to Triple Play indoor waterpark and games. We had a great time although I wouldn't recommend staying in the attached Hotel. If it wasn't noisy neighbors, Ty getting food poisoning, or Ali crying we would have slept just fine. We played many rounds of indoor golf, Laser Tag, and bowling. Ty even made it to the top of the climbing wall. He was so proud. I wish I had brought the camera then. Anyway, we did have a lot of fun.

Ty was resident handyman when visiting the lake house while Daddy was off hunting. I love being there.

The Seattle Aquarium was a lot of fun. We visited with the cousins over the Thanksgiving holiday. Tyler forgot to pull up his sleeves when he reached into the touch tank. It's a good thing he had a sweatshirt to change into.

Ty was a very proud little indian at his preschool Thanksgiving program. Ali loved his beaded neckless.

Tyler, Ali and I had a fun time decorating for Christmas. We like to do it right after Thanksgiving.

We had to get a picture afterward. Tyler has been testing my patients a lot lately. Telling him that he had better start behaving better or he would never get off the naughty list has worked wonders.

We've been getting dumped on for the last several days. We have a ton of snow for around here. Ali didn't care too much for it although she loved the sled. Tyler likes climbing on the mountain (the pile from plowing). Casey towed him in the sled with the 50. Ty was so cute with his motorcycle helmet and goggles on. I wish I had gotton some stills and not just video.

Ali's first birthday party was a lot of fun. We sure had a house full. Tyler helped with every cupcake. He was so proud of them. This was my first time decorating a cake. It turned out pretty cute.

Ali and Ty have been riding around the house double on her new 4 wheeler. He's showing her how to drive it of course.

We had a lot of fun making Ty's costume this year. Ty came up with the idea. He even has a robot voice. Funny huh? Ali was the traditional pumpkin. Isn't she cute.

We went riding up at a friends cabin. The kids had a blast. Ty wouldn't stop for anything.

Tyler placed third in his class. He shows his trophy to everyone. He's so proud, he even sleeps with it. His cousin Lauren and friend Katie raced also. They had so much fun.

For Casey's birthday we had a BBQ. It was a lot of fun. We have been pretty busy and not too social lately. Tyler finished up swimming lessons for the summer. He has had a lot of fun. It was at Whitman College's new aquatic center. He went everyday for 2 weeks and is alot braver now. He now does cannon balls and bellyflops. Ali is now crawling and getting into everything. She has three teeth with a forth coming soon. She loves to squeel and dance. Her big brother loves her to pieces. Tyler is learning preschool lessons and is very proud when he does them right. He also loves trying to talk like an adult. It cracks me up all the time. He's my little Dennis the Menace, always in trouble but too cute to stay mad at.
